New laboratories for ZEALAND PHARMA

Zealand Pharma's new headquarters is located at Sydmarken 11. The building was previously used as office space with a few older laboratories. However, it has now been renovated and modernized to include state-of-the-art laboratories, along with comfortable workspaces and office facilities. The result is a pleasant working environment that fosters productivity and collaboration between teams.

RH ARCHITECTS collaborated with LabFlex for laboratory furniture while Årstiderne Architects handled the office project.

RH ARKITEKTER and LabFlex have together with the Thylander Group held several user meetings and sought to find the most optimal interior design for Zealand Pharma's many types of functions.

Currently, there are 5 user groups that make use of the laboratory facilities. These user groups are Molecular Pharmacology, Pharmacology, Bioanalysis & Pharmacokinetics, Medicinal Chemistry, and Pharmaceutical Development.

During the project, a significant emphasis was placed on arranging the different departments in a manner that would allow them to complement and support each other in the most effective way possible.

The labs in the building are designed with a functional and user-friendly approach. The labs are continuous from facade to facade, or with glass doors and glass fields in the walls, which allows for daylight, visibility and visual contact between all rooms. The focus on ease of cleaning is strong, especially on the GMO1 floors.

Additionally, the building has an isotope laboratory as well as other special labs with individual requirements. These labs have been designed to provide a good working environment for employees at Zealand Pharma.
